Bears drop Game 2 vs. UVU in heartbreaking fashion

Northern Colorado tried to mount a bottom of the ninth rally, but following a two-out walk, the Bears were unable to get anything else going.
The Bears took the lead in the seventh inning on Jack Pauley's second home run in as many games. The solo blast came on the first pitch of the inning after UVU tied the game in the top of the inning.
BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
- Pauley had the home run and added a double to finish with a pair of hits and RBIs.
- Matt Burkart was the only other Bear with multiple knocks, he had a triple and a single.
- UNC finished with seven hits and five of them went for extra bases.
- Billy Moreland suffered the loss but made a number of outstanding plays defensively to keep the Bears in the game.
UNC and Utah Valley close out their three-game series on Sunday starting at noon.
