UNC had a busy weekend, looking to earn the third win in as many days against the Colorado College Tigers. The Bears left no doubt in today's sweep of Colorado College, capping off a perfect weekend with a 7-0 win over the Tigers.
In doubles play, Colorado College was able to win on the No. 1 court with Noah Forman/ Daniel Holland defeating Kyle Pease/Tommy Smalley 6-4.
That would end up being the only win for the Colorado College on the day. Nick Wade/Julian Kenzlers defeated Christian Kitchen/Jacob Adas 6-1 on the No. 1 court, and Adolfo Arroyo/ Michael Kritzinger had the other win in the No. 3 spot 6-2, earning the doubles point for the Bears.
The Bears were perfect in singles, winning all six matches on the day. UNC also didn't allow any of their singles matches to go into three sets.
Head Coach Ben Gendron was impressed with his teams weekend performance,
"Overall it was a great weekend for the team. It was the most mentally tough we have been all year, and that's why the results were what they were. Saturday was just another gritty win from the guys. Sunday, the guys came out in a professional manner and took care of business. We'll tweak a few things and keep working on our strengths for next weekend."
Next weekend, UNC looks to keep the winning streak going when Metro State comes up to Greeley April 7th for a noon showdown with the Bears.
