PSU Vikings defeats @UNC_BearsWTen at home

The Vikings of Portland State came into Work Out West and came away with a win against UNC on their first stop of their road trip 5-2.
Portland State gained the doubles point by winning the No. 1 and No. 2 pairings. Raffa Mora/Anna Battersby gave their opponents a battle on the No. 1 court, losing a close tiebreaker 7-6 (4) to Jacinta Milenkoski/Nina Nikitovic.
Despite the Bears losing the doubles point with another win from the Vikings 6-0 on the No. 2 court, Sandra Keta/Natalie Stanton earned a 6-3 win over Lotti Meszaros/Gerda Upeniece.
The win was sealed by Portland State by winning four out of six singles matchups. Sandra Keta earned the first point on the day for the Bears by soundly defeating Nina Nikitovic 6-2, 6-1.
Even though the Vikings had already earned five points to win the match, Synclair Larson battled back after losing the first set to take the No. 6 match 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 against Gerda Upeniece.
The Bears move to 6-10 on the season and will have to earn their next BSC win on the road as they will be traveling for the next four matches, the next at Idaho State on March 30th at 11AM.
