EWU defends its home court from UNC

The Bears men's tennis team ended their weekend road trip to the Pacific Northwest with a loss to the Eastern Washington Eagles 5-2.
Tommy Smalley/Kyle Pease started the day strong by taking a 6-1 victory over Mikayel Khachatryan/Jeremy Field in No. 1 doubles. After a win by EWU in the No. 3 spot, the Bears were able to secure the doubles point with Nick Wade/Julian Kenzlers winning No. 2 doubles 6-4.
Eastern Washington fought back the Bears momentum by winning five out of the six singles matches. The lone singles win for the Bears came from No. 6 Michael Kritzinger who defeated Wout Doumen 6-3, 7-5
After being on the road the past four matches, the Bears will be at home for almost the entire remainder of the season, nine straight matches. The next match will be played against Northern Arizona on March 16th at 10 AM at Work Out West.
