Jordan Davis scored a team-high 19 points, but the Bears had their winning streak snapped.
@UNC_BearsMBB and Bobcats play an eerily similar thriller

On the court for the first time in eight days, UNC had its chances to pick up its fourth straight win with a victory over Montana State. But, what could best be described as a cruel twist of irony, the Bears had their final two attempts to tie or take the lead come up short and they saw their winning streak come to an end with a 69-66 loss to the Bobcats.
Back on January 14, The Bears were fighting off a Bobcat comeback in which they missed two game-tying opportunities in the final 19 seconds, including one by the Big Sky's all-time leading scorer Tyler Hall, and had their chances end on a costly turnover.
Fast forward to Monday night. Down by just a point, Jordan Davis drove the lane but saw his floater come up just short. Undeterred, UNC lockdown on defense and forced MSU to throw up a prayer to beat the shot clock. The ball came down to Kai Edwards, but in the rush to get up the floor he and Jonah Radebaugh were unable to connect and Hall ended up with the ball. Unlike three weeks ago, Hall came through on a pair of free throws but still left UNC with one last shot. Davis rushed the ball up the floor with six seconds left and all things considered, didn't get a bad look, but it missed off to the right.
The Bobcats had the lead one time in the second half and that came when Hall made a jumper with 56 seconds to play that put MSU up 67-66.
BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
There's little time for UNC to dwell on the loss they play the middle game of a three-game homestand Thursday when they host Portland State. Last time out the Vikings knocked off conference leader Weber State. Tickets are available for that game and the game against Sacramento State on Saturday are available at tickets.UNCO.edu or by calling the UNC Box Office at 970-351-4849 Monday-Friday 10a.m.-5 p.m.

BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
- Davis finished with a team-high 19 points. He added five rebounds, four assists a block and a steal.
- Despite the late-game mix up, Edwards had another great outing. After posting a season-high 13 last time out at NAU, he scored 12 points and had five rebounds.
- Kur Jockuch continues to grow into a bigger role. The freshman scored eight points and had a team-high seven boards in just 17 minutes.
- A number that will drive the Bears crazy, after making five three's in the first half, they were held to just one in the second.
