Northern Colorado women's basketball closes out a three-game road trip at Sacramento State on Monday night
It is a quick turnaround for Northern Colorado women's basketball, as they aim to rebound off their loss on Saturday afternoon. The Bears make their way to Sacramento to take on the Sacramento State Hornets at 6 pm MST. UNC's game on Monday is the final of a three-game road trip for UNC.
Opening Tip
• Northern Colorado suffered its first road loss in conference play on Saturday at Portland State, 85-66.
• Alexis Chapman matched her career-high in scoring in the game with 23 points. Twenty-one of the 23 came in the second half.
• Micayla Isenbart was the only other Bear to score in double figures finishing with 14 points.
• Monday night's game concludes a three-game road trip for Northern Colorado who is currently 1-1 on it.
• Like the Bears, Sacramento State is also most recently coming off of a loss at Portland State. The Hornets fell to PSU 74-58.

Scouting the Hornets
After starting the Big Sky season 0-4, Sacramento State has gone 4-3 since then including splitting its last six games. The Hornets are a team that likes to push the pace of the game looking for a lot of possessions.
Sac State is averaging 70.6 points a game, including attempting 31.7 3-pointers a game as apart of their offensive scheme. Hannah Friend and Tiara Scott are the main two shooters for the team, and friend averages 18.8 point a game.
Kennedy Nicholas is the only other Hornet averaging double figures scoring with 14.3 points a game, and she also leads the Big Sky in rebounding with 11.9 board per game. Despite Nicholas efforts on the boards, Sac State has a -7.3 rebound margin. A key to the Hornets defense is their full court pressure and forcing live ball turnovers with 10.5 steals a contest.
