UNC men's golf inks the 2019 CHSAA 3A Player of they Year
Northern Colorado men's golf bolstered its roster with the signing of the 2019 Colorado 3A Player of the Year Westin Pals. Pals comes to UNC from Castle Rock, Colorado where he attended Lutheran High School.
"Westin is a nice addition to Bear golf as he fits all the qualities to be successful. He loves to compete and practices with a desire to keep getting better," head coach Roger Prenzlow said. "It is always nice to attract a high school champion to our program. Besides high school golf, Westin had some other nice finishes in junior golf around Colorado as well. We look forward to getting Westin in here next fall and watching him progress both on the golf course and in the classroom."
Pals was named the 3A Player of the Year in 2019 after winning the CHSAA 3A state title. He is a two-time first team All-State selection in both his junior and senior season while being a second team member in his sophomore year. Not only did Pals win the individual title in 2019 but he helped his team win the 3A team title as well.
While at UNC he plans to major in Business Economics. Pals chose Northern Colorado over Grand Canyon and Colorado Christian.
