UNC Track Announces 2019-20 Schedule

GREELEY, Colo.-Â The University of Northern Colorado track team announced its 2019-2020 track schedule on Monday.
The indoor season will run from the beginning of December through March with the outdoor season than running until June. The team is scheduled to compete in a total of 22 meets throughout the course of the entire season.
Coach Wayne Angel, director of track and field and cross country, is excited to announce the schedule for the upcoming season.
"I am confident that this schedule will meet our athletes' needs and give them multiple opportunities to be successful and have a great track and field experience leading into the championship season," Angel said.
The Bears will open their season at the Fred Wilt Open in West Lafayette, Indiana on December 7. From there, they will also compete in multiple meets in the state of Colorado, including the Potts Invitational in Boulder and the Air Force Invitational, both in January. January also includes the Red Raider Invitational hosted by Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
On February 13-14, the team will also send its athletes to the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This comes before the Big Sky Championships help in Pocatello, Idaho from February 27-29.
Along with this, UNC will get a chance to host its only home meet of the season with the Tom Benich Invite in Greeley on March 26. The remainder of the season will be on the road and includes stops in El Paso, Texas for the UTEP Spring Time Invitational in April and Colorado Springs for the Air Force Twilight in May.
The final stretch of the Bears' season includes the NCAA Track and Field Championships held June 10-13 in Austin, Texas.
