UNC men's basketball cruised to its third straight win at Wyoming
LARAMIE, Wyo. – It was bombs away for Northern Colorado as they hit 11 3-pointers to win their third straight game at the Arena-Auditorium against Wyoming 74-53. The win pushes UNC to 5-4 on the year.
After playing a close game in the first half, UNC broke the game open with a 7-0 run early in the second to go up by 10. The Bears lead by double figures through the remainder of the game.
Northern Colorado held Wyoming to 19 second half points and just 32.0 percent shooting in the half after they shot 60.0 percent in the first.
Jonah Radebaugh's 17-point first half paced the Bears early on as no other player reached double-digits until the second half. He finished the game with his first double-double of the year scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Three other Bears finished the game in double-figures scoring in Trent Harris, 12 points, Kai Edwards, 11 points, and Bodie Hume, 11 points.
What They Said
Head Coach Jeff Linder
Overall Thoughts
"We have such a resilient and tough group of guys. We didn't use the excuse of it was finals week or that we hadn't played a Division I opponent since the day before Thanksgiving getting ready for this game. We had a tremendous week of practice and game prep. Coach (Ken) DeWeese did a great job on the scout for this game. The guys understood what they needed to do on the defensive side of the floor to make it hard on their offense. Then on offense, we had to understand they really like to pack it in. More than any team in the country really. We did a good job of spacing them and knowing how to attack certain angles."
To the fans who made the trip to Laramie
"I want to thank all of the faithful who made the trek up today. I know the roads and weather weren't that great and we really appreciate the support. It really almost turned it into a home game with all the support from all our fans here tonight."
On the team's defense
"What Kur and Kai did on Hunter Thompson on the defensive end was really impressive against a good stretch five. Especially in that first few minutes of the second half that we got into the passing lane getting tips leading to easy baskets."
Stat of the Game
Northern Colorado took good care of the ball on Saturday committing just six turnovers.
Game Notes
- Jonah Radebaugh is now 50 points away from becoming the 22nd Bear to score 1,000 points in his career.

- Kai Edwards made a career-high five free throws in the game going 5-of-6 from the line. He also had seven rebounds on his stat line.
- Rodrick McCobb had a strong night off the bench for UNC scoring five points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out two assists in 18 minutes.
