UNC Men's Cross Country Closed Season at NCAA Mountain Regional

The men's cross country team finished in 17th place at the NCAA Mountain Regional
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Northern Colorado men's cross country team competed in the competitive NCAA Mountain Regional on Friday in Salt Lake City. The Bears ended up in 17th place in a meet that featured the top three teams in the nation.
Senior Jeremy Romero led the way for UNC running the 10K course in 32:25.5 to finish in 66th place individually.
Classmates Josh Campbell and Isaiah Remington finished only 25 seconds behind Romero to finish second and third for the team. Campbell took 73rd with a time of 32:46.3 and Remington in 78th at 32:50.9.
The team ended up with a spread of a minute and 37 seconds from first through fifth place.
Ryan Lehmuth was fourth for the team in 33:29.8 followed by Jesse Hayward (34:02.0) and Stephen Haas (35:11.7).
The NCAA Mountain Regional concludes a successful first season under Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Wayne Angel. The Bears showed improvement throughout the season and ended up with their best-ever finish at the Big Sky Championships by taking fifth place as a team.
