Bears Roll Rangers in Exhibition

UNC women's basketball made easy work of Regis on Friday
In their first live-action inside Bank of Colorado Arena on Friday night, Northern Colorado women's basketball made easy work of Regis, 93-42 in their exhibition game.
The Bears shot 53.7 percent from the field as all 11 players who suited up for the team scored at least one basket.
Junior Alexis Chapman and freshman Kadie Deaton led Northern Colorado with 20 and 21 points, respectively. Deaton finished with a double-double grabbing 10 rebounds and had three assists and two steals.
Chapman made four of the team's nine 3-pointers in the game.
Freshman Alecia Whyte was also in double figures on the night with 13 points off the bench.
Northern Colorado's experienced frontcourt trio of Ali Meyer, Abby Kain and Bridget Hintz combined for 16 points and 16 rebounds.
UNC held Regis to just 21.7 percent shooting for the game including 1-for-13 in the third quarter. The Bears outscored the Rangers 27-6 in that quarter.

It's on to the regular season now for Northern Colorado. The Bears host San Francisco in their season opener on Tuesday, November 5 at 7 pm inside Bank of Colorado Arena. UNC has a pair of games at home next week, with the second coming on Friday against Colorado State at 6 pm.
