Opening Drive
It's homecoming week for Northern Colorado as they host Portland State. The Bears aim for back-to-back wins at home after winning their last home game on September 28 against Idaho 27-24.Â
UNC is coming off a tough loss at Eastern Washington last week 54-21. The Bears did outscore EWU 21-14 in the second half after falling behind early. Milo Hall scored all three of UNC's touchdowns on Saturday combining for 114 all-purpose yards.Â
Portland State improved to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the Big Sky by shutting out Idaho at home 24-0. The Vikings have been a strong team at home going 4-0, but have dropped all three of its road contests so far.
This Week's Numbers
40 -Â Northern Colorado is 40-19 when playing on homecoming. The Bears have faced the Vikings twice for homecoming, splitting the games. UNC is looking to snap a two-game losing streak on homecoming.
3 - Milo Hall scored three times on the ground last week against Eastern Washington. It is his second career game with three touchdowns. The other came against Southern Utah last season.Â
16 -Â Jerone Jackson recorded a career-best 16 tackles against Eastern Washington last Saturday. The junior safety matched his career-high for solo tackles with nine.Â

• Portland State pitched a shutout last Saturday defeating Idaho at home 24-0.Â
• PSU's defense was stingy holding Idaho to just 236 total yards and intercepting the Vandals four times.
• With their four interceptions last week, the Vikings defense leads the Big Sky and is ranked 11th in the nation with eight picks on the year.
• Portland State has shown the ability to score in bunches this season averaging 36.0 points a game. That ranks fifth in the conference and 18th in the FCS.
• PSU has a strong rush defense limiting opponents to 97.1 yards per game.
• The Vikings were picked to finish 10th in the conference by both the coaches and media.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado is off next week, before returning on the road on November 2. The Bears will head to Pocatello, Idaho to face Idaho State at 2:30 pm.
