@UNC_MensGolf picked to repeat as Big Sky Champions

Northern Colorado men's golf has been picked to defend its title this season by the Big Sky coaches
OGDEN, Utah – Coming off winning the 2018 Big Sky Golf title, Northern Colorado's men's golf team was unanimously picked to repeat in 2019 by the league's coaches. The Bears earned 36 points and six first place votes in the poll.
UNC is led by reigning Big Sky Golfer of the Year Joshua Matz along with 2018 second team All-Big Sky selection Coby Welch. Northern Colorado has already showed they can compete with some of the best in the country this season earning two top 5 finishes and finishing in the top 10 in all four of their fall events. During the fall season, UNC also claimed the Big Sky Golfer of the Week honor three times, twice by Welch and once by Matz.
Sacramento State was picked to finish second in the polls with 31 points, with Idaho and its 25 points rounded out the top three.
Northern Colorado begins its spring season on February 11 at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational in St. George, Utah. The team will compete in six spring tournaments before the Big Sky Championship over April 26-28 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
