UNC women's golf improved its team score for the third straight day in the Ptarmigan Ram Classic
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Northern Colorado women's golf closed out the Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Wednesday, improving their team score the third straight day to finish in 12th with a 914 overall. The Bears moved up a spot on the leaderboard passing Wyoming with their performance on Wednesday.
UNC's Beah Cruz earned the highest individual finish for the team at the event finishing tied for 24th with a 224 total. In the final round, Cruz shot a matching 76 from her second round. Marisa Hisaki and Nicole Polivchak recorded the best rounds of the day for Northern Colorado, each posting a 74. The Bears teed off on the back nine on Wednesday, leading to Hisaki shooting a 2-under 34 over her final nine of the tournament to build momentum moving forward. Meanwhile, Polivchak shot recorded a team best three birdies for the round.
The group of Morgan Sahm, Aili Bundy and Jenna Chun closed the tournament by shooting 77, 79, 79, respectively.
