Greeley Colo. — The Bears brought in some good numbers last weekend at the CU Invitation and look to continue the upward trend on Sunday with the NOCO Challenge at Nottingham Field. UNC survived the cold and windy weather and might have to be battle the elements again this weekend.
Meet Rescheduled
The NOCO Challenge was originally planned to happen this Saturday, however, the meet was moved to this Sunday due to the projection of gusting winds that could reach 50 miles per hour. Field events will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday and running events will start at 12:00 p.m. Admission and parking will be free for this event.
What We're Looking For
UNC is looking to see great results in the Men's 100 meter dash from Alex Mead, Demetrius Graves, and Bailey Sexton. Last week, Alex Mead took first place in this event with a time of 10.71, just .02 second ahead of the second place runner.
Both the women's 4 X 100 meter relay team and the 4 X 400 meter relay team took second place in their events last week at the CU Invitational and looking to see those kinds of results this upcoming weekend.
Juliette Cossey, Sammi Watson, and Kylie Chavez all placed in the top five for the women's triple jump last week, and look to improve upon their marks once again this weekend.
The men's 4 X 400 meter relay team consisting of Alex Ayers, Antoine Coates, Lyle Thomas, and Alex Wesley, once again received first place last week, and they're looking to keep the streak to four straight this weekend.
The Future
The Bears have three meets left after the NOCO Challenge before the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships. Those three meets are the MT. Sac Relays, the Oregon State High Performance, and the Last Chance-Air Force Academy meet.
