PORTLAND, Ore. – Playing their fifth game in the Pacific Time Zone this month, UNC found itself neck-and-neck with Portland State who hadn't played a game in 11 days. Tied at 29-29 at the break, Jonah Radebaugh got the Bears off to a hot start when he opened the second half with a three-ball. Northern Colorado started the final 20 minutes in a 13-3 run that helped them cruise to their second Big Sky win of the season, 73-60.
After knocking down five three's against Sacramento State in his first Big Sky game, Bodie Hume hit another three that put the Bears up 42-32 less than six minutes into the half. Jordan Davis scored four points and Sam Masten added a three-ball of his own that gave Northern Colorado the first double-digit lead of the game.
Once they fell down by double digits, PSU was only able to get within two possessions on a single occasion in the second half. UNC followed that up by closing the game on a 16-10 run that gave them a double-digit win.
Portland State had been successful this season by forcing turnovers and outrebounding its opponents. On Monday, the Bears only committed nine turnovers and got back to their strength of rebounding grabbing one more rebound than the Vikings.

- Davis was the games highest scorer for what seems like the 13th time this season, he finished with 27 points.
