DENVER – Leading by almost 20 points at the half, UNC seemed to be well on its way to their fourth win of the season. Denver was dead set on not letting the Bears head back to Greeley without a fight when they started the second half on a 23-11 run that cut a 48-29 halftime lead to just seven points. UNC wasn't fazed and would regain its once 20-point advantage on the way to picking up their first win at Magness Arena since 2008, 88-72.
After cutting the lead to just seven, the teams traded buckets before the Bears responded with a 9-0 run highlighted by Bodie Hume dunk where he drew a foul and converted on the and one. Cole Bergan chipped in with a pair of jumpers and with six minutes left, Trent Harris put UNC up 17 with a corner three.
Jonah Radebaugh, playing in front of plenty of friends and family, canned a three with just five minutes left to put UNC up, 79-59.
Denver started the game in similar fashion to the way they began the final 20 minutes. The Pioneers were up 7-2 at the first media timeout before the Bears responded with a 25-12 run of their own and went up 32-14 on a Radebaugh triple. Not done, UNC went up 20 when fellow Denver native Sam Masten knocked down a three, of course.
Masten and Radebaugh are two of three Bears that call the Denver area home. Masten a freshman was playing just his fifth college game and it was in front of plenty of friends and family.
"It was awesome. I got to see a lot of people who I haven't seen in a while and my high school brought a bunch of people out. My high school principal was here so it was really cool," Masten said.
Radebaugh, a junior, played in a heartbreaking loss his freshman season at DU so it was good to return and head back north with a W.
"It was great I love playing here. I love playing in front of my friends and family. I have the best support system so it means a lot to me to have them be able to come out and watch me play," Radebaugh said.
Jalen Sanders, a sophomore from Valor Christian High School in Denver is the third Bear from the metro area, but he was unable to play Wednesday night.
BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
- Jordan Davis led UNC with 25. He added five rebounds.
- Three other Bears reached double figures, Radebaugh with 17, Harris with 16, and Masten with 11.

its opponents this season.

- The Bears have scored at least 88 points in all of their wins this season.
