It was an opener to remember for UNC against Colorado College. Trent Harris put his name in the Bears record book in his Northern Colorado debut by making a new school record 11 three-pointers in a single game. That helped spark the UNC offense to 126 points the second most they have ever scored.
BEAR BITESÂ
- Â Â The 11 3's made by Harris were the second most by a Big Sky player in a single game.
- Â Â Harris scored 33 points which tied him for the fourth most points ever scored by a Bear.
- Â Â The 126 points scored were the second most ever scored by the Bears in a single game.
- Â Â Slightly overshadowed was the performance of freshman Sam Masten who scored 25 points in his debut.
- Â Â Fellow Freshman Cole Bergan came off the bench to score 11 points in his debut.
- Â Â Jordan Davis scored 17 points leaving him 32 points shy of setting a DI scoring record.
UNC gets into its Division I schedule when they host Pepperdine on Tuesday. The Waves make a return trip to Greeley following the thrilling game played last season in Malibu, Calif. This will be the first DI opponent for the Waves as well after their season opener against Cal State Northridge was postponed Saturday due to the wildfires in California.
"It's time to play a good Division I opponent," said UNC head coach Jeff Linder. "Pepperdine is a good young team, kind of like us. They have a really good player in Coleby Ross a former Colorado kid. We are going to need to put forth our best effort to beat the Waves."

- Â Â Ross is from Aurora, Colo. he went to Eaglecrest High School and was the Waves second-leading scorer last season as a freshman with a 14PPG average.
- Â Â Kameron Edwards led the Waves in scoring last season with a 14.7 average.
- Â Â Pepperdine went 6-26 last season.
- Â Â Lorenzo Romar is the Waves head coach and has 391 wins during his time as a DI head coach.
- Â Â Romar was named PAC-10/12 coach of the year three times during his time at Washington.
- Â Â He took the Huskies to the NCAA Tournament five times and the University of St. Louis once.
