Sargent Ends Season at NCAA West Regional

FINAL RESULTS
AUSTIN, Texas – Northern Colorado's outdoor track and field season came to a close on Thursday night at the University of Texas' Mike A. Myers Stadium in the NCAA West Regional. The Bears were represented by sophomore, Cammy Sargent in the women's 800m run.
Sargent ran in the first of six heats and placed seventh, clocking in at 2:13.98. The time positioned her 46th overall in the race in Sargent's first ever NCAA Regional.
The sophomore was just one of four Big Sky athletes to qualify for the regional in the event, and the ninth student-athlete in the last three seasons to represent the Blue and Gold at the postseason meet.
The 800m was broken up into six heats of eight competitors each for the first round. The top three finishers in each heat plus the next six best times advanced to the quarterfinals.Â
