GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado (8-13, 4-6 Big Sky) is going for its second win in the team's three-game road swing at North Dakota (12-8, 7-3 Big Sky) on Saturday, Feb. 4. Tip against the Fighting Hawks is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (MT).

Scouting Northern Colorado (Game Notes)
- UNC snapped its five-game losing streak last week with an 89-91 win at Southern Utah to move to 8-13 and 4-6 in the Big Sky.
- This is Northern Colorado's lone game of the week against its travel partner, UND will return the favor in three weeks as they come to Greely on Feb. 25.
- Three of the team's four conference wins have come on the road.
- The Bears have the third-best scoring defense in the conference, holding opponents 73.2 ppg, as well as the second-best three-point field goal defense, keeping teams to just 34.5% shooting from beyond the arc.
- Northern Colorado has had at least three-players reach double figures in the last four games and at least one player reach 20-points in two of the four games.
- Sophomore guard, Jordan Davis continues to control the Bears' offensive, averaging 19.7 ppg and a Big Sky best 5.5 assists per game.

- UND has won seven of its last nine games, but did drop an unusual road contest at NAU a week ago, 68-67.
- The Fighting Hawks have the fourth-best offense in the league, averaging 79.8 ppg, while holding their opponents to just 73.2 ppg.
- North Dakota is also one of the best shooting teams in the Big Sky, averaging 48.5% from the field. They are led by senior guard, Quinton Hooker who is averaging 18.1 points per game. UND sports three other players averaging double figures in Geno Crandall (15.4 ppg), Corey Baldwin (10.4 ppg) and Conner Avants (10.1 ppg)
- The Fighting Hawks got through the month of January posting a 6-2 record, including a 4-0 mark at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
Last Time Out
- DJ Miles and Jordan Davis combined for 52 points on Saturday afternoon as Northern Colorado blew by Southern Utah 89-71.
- Miles paced the Bears with 28 points, while Davis poured in 24 in the win that snapped UNC's five-game losing skid.
- UNC's lead never dipped below eight points in the first half as Davis banged in a three-pointer at the buzzer to send the Bears into the locker room up by 12, 40-28 over SUU.
- The lead grew to 21 points (59-38) after another 11-0 run by UNC, and Southern Utah was never able to cut it down to more than 17 in the final 20 minutes of play.
- UNC's defense kept Southern Utah in check all evening, holding the T-birds to 40% (22-of-55) from the field and 40% (9-of-22) from the perimeter.

- Junior guard, DJ Miles is coming off a 28-point performance in the Bears' win over Southern Utah last weekend. It was the fifth time this season Miles has recorded five-or-more threes as he finished 5-of-7 (71.4%) from beyond the arc.
- Miles currently leads UNC with 61 made three-pointers on the season and is shooting 49% from downtown in Big Sky games (37-of-75).
- The junior currently ranks 15th in the country in three-point field goal percentage, averaging 44.9% on the season.
Series History
- The Northern Colorado and North Dakota series dates all the way back to the 1965-66 season as they first met in the NCAA Division II Regionals, a game UND won 84-81 in Grand Forks.
- Since then, the Fighting Hawks have taken control, owning a 43-24 series lead, but the Bears are 8-3 in Division I games.
- Just one point separated both teams in the 2015-16 games. UNC held on for a 71-70 win in Greeley, while UND outlasted the Bears 74-73 in Grand Forks.
- In the last 12 games between the two programs, five of them have been decided by five points or less.

- The Bears are looking to get to .500 in the month of February as the team is 33-40 in Division I history.
- The program's best records came in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons, when they went 6-1 and 7-1 in the month. It's worst record in February in the Division I era came in the 2006-07 season when UNC went 0-5.
- Northern Colorado went just 1-6 last season in the month, with its lone win coming against Sacramento State.

- Including Saturday's matchup at North Dakota, UNC has been on the road for seven of its 11 Big Sky games. The Bears have gotten used to travel life, with 15 of its 21 games having been played away from Bank of Colorado Arena.
- There is an upside to it, as Northern Colorado will end its 2016-17 schedule with five of the last seven games being played at home. UNC only has one more road trip after this week, heading to Weber State (Feb. 16) and Idaho State (Feb. 18).
- UNC currently holds a 3-9 record on the road and a 1-1 record in neutral site games, but three of its four Big Sky victories have come away from Greeley.
