All guests are responsible for their own food and beverage purchases. The watch party features UNC giveaways and an opportunity to enter to win a UNC prize pack.
Â
Just Down the Road
- The series between Northern Colorado and Colorado State dates all the way back to 1893. This will be just the second time in the last 30 years that the two teams have faced off. The last time the two teams faced each other came in 2011, with the Rams besting the Bears 33-14.
Â
A Look at the Rams
- CSU is 1-1 after a win over UTSA (23-14) last weekend in Fort Collins. The Rams displayed a tough defensive unit that shutout the Roadrunners in the second half and held them to -1 rushing yards, while the Rams busted free for 220 yards on the ground. It is still up in the air who Colorado State's starting QB will be headed into the matchup, but signs lean toward true freshman, Collin Hill.
Â
UNC Against the FBS
- Since transitioning into a Division I program, the Bears are currently 0-8 against FBS opponents. The closest UNC ever came to knocking off a team in the FBS came in the 2014 season when they fell at UNLV, 13-12.
Â
Next Man Up
- After starting QB Jacob Knipp went down with a shoulder injury early in the Abilene Christian game, backup, Kyle Sloter stepped up and put on a performance. The senior threw for 408 yards on 25-of-32 attempts with 6 TD passes and one rushing TD. The 6 touchdown throws set a new Division I program record and tied the all-time program record. It was also the first time since the 2013 season that the Bears had a QB throw for over 400 yards.
Â
High Octane
- UNC's proving that it's offense is high powered. Through two games they are averaging 574 yards and 55.5 points a game, scoring 56 in the season opener against Rocky Mountain and 55 in the win over Abilene Christian. The Bears currently lead the Big Sky Conference in scoring offense and are second in total offense.
Â
White Out
- For the first time since 1966 Northern Colorado will dawn a different colored helmet other than blue or gold. Head Coach Earnest Collins Jr. displayed a new white helmet at practice on Tuesday that the team will wear on Saturday against CSU.
Â
POTW
- Kyle Sloter earned a few accolades for his efforts on the field last Saturday. Not only was he named the Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week, but also the STATS FCS National Offensive Player of the Week. It was the first time in Division I program history that a UNC player earned the FCS National Player of the Week award.
Â
Dual Threat
- Redshirt sophomore running back, Trae Riek has shown he's more than one dimensional. Through two games, Riek has rushed for 190 yards (5.1 per carry avg.) with two TDs and hauled in 7 catches for 117 yards and one more touchdown. He currently ranks fourth in the Big sky in all-purpose yards, averaging 153.5 yards a game.
Â
2-0
- For the second time in as many seasons UNC has started the year with a 2-0 record. The Bears have never been 3-0 to start a season in NCAA Division I program history.
Â

- This Saturday's contest will be live on ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain and streamed at CSURams.com/videos (blacked out in some areas). Fans can also listen to the game on the 1310 KFKA AM. Live Stats will be provided via CSURams.com
Â
Penalized
- Northern Colorado is hoping to keep its penalties at a minimum on Saturday. Thus far, UNC has been the most penalized team in the Big Sky Conference, racking up 23 for 218 yards.
Â
Receiving Votes
- Northern Colorado is receiving votes in the Top 25 STATS FCS Poll for this first time in program history. The Bears garnished one vote in the most recent poll that went on out Monday. STATS took over covering the FCS in the 2015 season and are currently in its second year working with the FCS after purchasing The Sports Network (TSN) in February of 2015.
Â
Bears on the Tube Â
- Comcast Entertainment Television has partnered with UNC for the second consecutive year and will broadcast four of the football team's five home games. Beginning on Oct. 1, fans across Colorado can watch the team every Saturday exclusively on XFINITY service across Colorado on Channel 900 (HD) and 105 (SD) in the Denver and Colorado Springs DMAs. Roughly, 800,000 subscribers have access to CET from Fort Collins/Greeley in the north to Pueblo in the south along the Front Range. CET can also be seen in mountain towns such as Vail, Aspen, and Steamboat Springs. Â
