@UNC_TrackField Notches Five More Qualifying Marks at Oregon

FINAL RESULTS
EUGENE, Ore. – It was more personal records and qualifying marks falling in the final day of the Oregon Relays for the Track and Field team. Hayward Field saw the Bears notch five Big Sky qualifying marks on Saturday and shatter numerous personal bests.
UNC's women earned two Big Sky qualifying marks right off the bat in the 100m dash.
Alivia Ayres-Perry blazed to an 11.78 second finish to come in third place. Ayres-Perry is just the second athlete in the league to come in under 12 seconds and now holds the fastest time in the conference. Her finish also sits as the third fastest in program history.
Ayres-Perry wasn't the only one to finish under 12.00 seconds in the event. Moriah Zachary clocked in at 11.86 seconds to come in fourth overall in the dash. Zachary's time is tied as the second fastest in the Big Sky and the fourth fastest in UNC history.
In the women's 800m run, Cammy Sargent was just shy of a qualifying mark herself, breaking the tape in 2:12.09, a new personal best for the freshman and only .09 ticks away from officially qualifying for the Outdoor Championships. She took fourth in the race and moved into fifth in the league standings in the event. Her mark was also moves her into third place on the program's Top 10 list.
Freshman Claire Harris made strides in the 100m hurdles. Harris sprinted to a time of 14.37 seconds, a new personal record for the young athlete. She too clinched a spot in the Conference Championships, coming in under the 14.40 qualifying standard. Harris finished fourth in the race and now holds the fifth quickest time in the Big Sky.
In the same event, Amber Solomon was just .04 seconds behind Harris, finishing in 14.44 seconds. Solomon's time was good for a season-best and a fifth place finish.
In the relays, the women's 4x100 team came in second place on the day. The squad of Brianna Pardner, Ayres-Perry, Zachary and Samara Lishchynsky clocked in at 46.56 seconds.
Alisha Allen was all business in the women's high jump. Allen cleared the bar at a season-best 1.66m (5-6.00), moving her into third place in the league standings. Her jump was good for fourth place in the event.
On the men's side, Jordan Medina came in sixth in the 400m dash. Medina broke the tape in 48.59 seconds.
Freshman Isaiah Brown clinched a Top 10 finish in the 110m hurdles, coming in eighth on the leaderboard. Brown cruised to a time of 15.41 seconds.
Continuing with the hurdles, Scott Dickinson worked his way into the Top 10 in the 400m hurdles with a finish of 54.79 seconds to take 10th place.
The 4x400 team finished the best of any men's relay team at the meet. Medina, Keegan Lape, Bryce Adams and Anthony Powell worked a 3:18.51 time to take third place.
In the men's field events, Francisco Au too earned a third place mark in the triple jump. Au hit the pit in 14.37m (47-14.5), surpassing the league's qualifying mark in the process. With his jump he moved into third place in the Big Sky standings.
Jayson Dupre also solidified a spot in the Outdoor Championships with his jump. Dupre finished with a season-best leap of 14.12m (45-32.5). He finished sixth overall.
The Track and Field team will take a week off before competing in the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on April 28-30.
