UNC dropped the series finale against Nebraska 7-1 Wedneday
LINCOLN, Neb. – UNC baseball concluded its two game series with Nebraska on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Huskers 7-1.
How It Happened
Nebraska got its offense going early in the game with its first four batter reaching to go up 1-0. They proceeded to add another run on a walk to chase starter Luke Haynes after a third of an inning and be up 2-0 by the end of the first.
In the third, Scott Schreiber hit his third home run of the series to extend Nebraska's lead to 4-0.
UNC got on the board in the fifth by loading the bases and Jake Ek getting an RBI single to left field, bringing home Dan Reese.
NU added three insurance runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach at 7-1.

UNC: Dan Reese was UNC's lone runner to score in the game, finishing his day in the batter's box with a 1-for-3 day and a walk.
Nebraska: Leadoff hitter Ryan Boldt did a good job of setting the table for Nebraska going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. He also stole two bases in the game.
