GREELEY, Colo. – For the twelfth straight season, Northern Colorado (3-5, 0-0 Big Sky) will take on in-state rival Colorado State (7-2, 0-0 Mountain West). The Bears and the Rams will tip at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Fort Collins at Moby Arena.

Scouting Northern Colorado (Game Notes)
- Northern Colorado is coming off a 97-73 win over Northern New Mexico College at home last Saturday.
- It was just the second home game of the season for the team, but the eighth on the year. Through non-conference play, the Bears will only have one more home game, against UC-Riverside on Dec. 20, while having played eight games away from Greeley.
- UNC has yet to win a true road game, as they are 0-4 on the season. They are however, 1-1 in neutral site games, defeating Sacred Heart 81-59 in the Las Vegas Invitational.
- This will be the 103rd meeting between UNC and Colorado State. It is one of the oldest rivalries in the Bears' program history, dating all the way back to the 1901 season.
- Northern Colorado has two players averaging double figures on the season in sophomore guard, Jordan Davis (22.0 ppg) and redshirt sophomore guard, Chaz Glotta (12.0).
Scouting Colorado State
- The Rams have won four out of their last five games after a 93-69 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Tuesday. CSU's only two losses on the year have come to Wichita State and Stanford.
- Colorado State currently leads the Mountain West in multiple categories including, free throw percentage (77.0), free throws made (198), free throws attempted (257) and rebound margin (+6.6).
- CSU has had a player record at least 10 rebounds in seven of its nine games this season, led by Emmanuel Omogbo who is currently averaging 11.4 rebounds per game, along with his 13.0 points per game.
- Along with Omogbo, the Rams have three other players averaging double figures on the year in J.D. Paige (11.2 ppg), Che Bob (10.3 ppg) and Prentiss Nixon (10.1 ppg).
- CSU lost four of its five starters from last season, including leading scorers Antwan Scott, a Second Team All-Mountain West selection, and Joe De Ciman, who was the only player from Larry Eustachy's first CSU team to play all four years.
Not Too Long Ago
- Northern Colorado doesn't have to look too far back for its last win against Colorado State. The Bears knocked off the Rams at home, 73-64 on Dec. 13, 2015. UNC had three players finish in double figures, led by former guard, Jordan Wilson's 20 points.
- Prior to the win, UNC hadn't defeated Colorado State since the 2009-10 season when the Bears were led by current CU head coach, Tad Boyle. In the last 12 matchups, CSU holds a 9-3 advantage in the all-time series.
- It's been quite some time since the Bears last won inside Moby Arena. Northern Colorado hasn't won in Fort Collins since the 1986-87 season, defeating the Rams 56-54.
- Colorado State holds a 49-13 overall record against UNC at home.
Sophomore Success
- Sophomore guard, Jordan Davis currently leads the Big Sky Conference in assists, averaging 6.0 per game.
- His dish numbers rank him Top 30 in the country in assists, coming in at no. 28. UCLA's Lonzo Ball currently leads the NCAA (Division I) in assists per game at 9.3
- Davis is also ranked in the Top 30 in points per game, with 22.0. The sophomore is currently 22nd in the NCAA in ppg and is second in the Big Sky, only behind Montana State's Tyler Hall, who is averaging 24.2 ppg.
- Davis is currently on pace to break the UNC Division I single-season assist record of 106 (set by Elliott Lloyd in 2010-11) and score over 600 points on the year. The last time a UNC player notched 600 points in a season came in 2010-11 when Devon Beitzel recorded 687.
Welcome Back
- After suffering a preseason knee injury, junior transfer, Gerad Davis finally returns to the court after missing the first eight games of the year.
- Davis is coming off a 16.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and 2.1 apg season at Casper College. He was voted first team All-Region and helped the Thunderbirds to a 25-9 record, and going a perfect 18-0 at home.
Around The Big Sky
- Sophomore guard, Jordan Davis ranks second in 25-point games (3) in the Big Sky, only MSU's Tyler Hall has more (4).
- Davis also ranks in 20-point games (6), again only Montana State's Hall has more (7).
- Davis is tied for second in the conference and redshirt freshman, Jonah Radebaugh third in double-doubles. Davis has two on the year, while Radebaugh has one.
