GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado (3-7, 0-0 Big Sky) closes out its non-conference schedule with UC Riverside (1-6, 0-0 Big West) in a 6:00 p.m. tip on Tuesday, Dec. 20 inside Bank of Colorado Arena.

Scouting Northern Colorado (Game Notes)
- UNC returns home for just the third time this season in an 11-game stretch. The Bears remain undefeated at home, but UC Riverside will be the first Division I opponent the team has hosted at Bank of Colorado Arena
- The Bears fell in a heartbreaker on Saturday down in Denver. The Pioneers hit on a three-pointer with :03 seconds to play to hand UNC a 73-70 loss.
- Northern Colorado still averages two players in double figures on the season. Jordan Davis (20.7 ppg) and Chaz Glotta (12.2 ppg) both lead the offensive charge for the Bears.
- UNC is 1-2 all-time against UC Riverside. The Bears met up with the Highlanders just last season out in California which ended in a 77-66 defeat for Northern Colorado.
- The Bears are 1-0 against UC Riverside at home, knocking off the Highlanders 63-60 back in the 2013-14 season in Greeley.
Scouting UC Riverside
- The Highlanders are currently riding a four-game losing streak after losing to Montana at home 71-63. The team's last win came over a month ago on Nov. 19 when they beat Fresno Pacific 96-50
- Overall, UC Riverside comes to Greeley with a 1-6 record. They have two players averaging double figures on the season in Secean Johnson and Chance Murray. Both players are averaging 11.3 points per game.
- Despite their record, the Highlanders are one of the best defensive teams in the Big West Conference, recording 7.9 steals per game, ranking them first in their conference in that category.
- The last time UC Riverside visited Greeley, the Bears came away with a 63-60 victory, which was in 2013-14.
- The Pioneers returned just one starter from last season in sophomore, Joe Rosga and are very similar to UNC in the fact that the majority of their team minutes come from freshman and sophomores.

- A Joe Rosga three with :03 seconds to play gave Denver the edge over Northern Colorado, 73-70 on Saturday afternoon at Magness Arena.
- Junior guard, DJ Miles was an impressive 14-of-15 at the free throw line in the loss. Miles finished with a game-high 22 points.
- The remaining eight minutes of the game were mostly played at the free throw line as both teams combined for 44 attempts at the stripe in the second half.
- Jordan Davis and Jon'te Dotson were the other two players to finish in double figures. Davis finished with 14 points and Dotson added 11.
Miles Emerging
- Junior transfer, DJ Miles has emerged as a scoring threat for UNC.
- Miles has recorded two 20-point games in the last three contests, and has scored in double figures in four out of the Bears' last six games.
- The junior scored a career-best and game-high 22 points in the loss at Denver on Saturday, just two games prior, Miles produced 20 points in the win over Northern New Mexico.
- Miles also finished the game against Denver an impressive 14-of-15 at the free throw line. He now leads the team in FT percentage, with an 85.2% average. The percentage ranks him fifth in the Big Sky Conference.
Dotson Dropping Dimes
- Jon'te Dotson put on a show for his hometown last Saturday against the Pioneers. The Denver native scored a career-high 11 points in the 73-70 loss.
- Dotson hit three big treys all in the second half to keep UNC in contention, finishing the game 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
- Overall, Dotson ended the game 4-of-5 from the field in just 14 minutes of court time.
Facing The Big West
- The Bears are 6-12 all-time against Big West Conference opponents, playing seven of its nine affiliates.
- UNC holds the most wins over Hawaii, sporting a 2-0 record against the Warriors.
-Their worst series record against Big West teams is against UC Davis, holding a 1-5 record.
- Northern Colorado is currently 1-2 all-time against UC Riverside, with this being the fourth matchup in the all-time series. The Bears are 1-0 against the Highlanders in Greeley and 0-2 on the road.
