Series Matchup
- 2015 was the first time the Bears had ever defeated Sacramento State. The Bears didn't score one offensive touchdown at Hornet Stadium, but still managed to leave California with a 27-20 win over SSU. Overall in the all-time series, the Hornets hold a 9-1 lead. The Bears are 0-4 against Sac State at home and 1-5 on the road. Since joining the Big Sky Conference in 2006, UNC and Sacramento State have played each other every year.
Â
On Pace

Should he accumulated 100 tackles, it will be the second straight season that the Bears have had a player reach the century mark.

Campus Commons Ground Breaking Ceremony
There is lots to celebrate at UNC this weekend! This Saturday, construction will break ground on the signature new building, the Campus Commons. This project has become a reality through the dedication and support of many passionate individuals: generous donors, faculty, staff, students, the State of Colorado, and many more who, in many ways, have invested in the future of UNC.
The entire university and community is invited to join the celebration of this momentous occasion beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 22, in the southwest parking area of the University Center. There University leaders will ceremoniously break ground and mark the start of construction of the Campus Commons.
Those who will join President Norton in sharing a few remarks that morning include Provost Robbyn Wacker, Performing and Visual Arts Dean Leo Welch, Board of Trustees Chairman and UNC alumnus Dick Monfort, and Student Senate President Brandon Miller. Supporters can also enjoy performances by the Pride of the Rockies Marching Band.
After the event, the Pride of the Rockies will lead everyone to Nottingham Field for pre-game festivities before the Bears face off against Sacramento State in the UNC Homecoming football game.
