UNC and North Dakota face off this Saturday, Jan. 30 at 7:00 p.m. on Oil and Gas Night
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado (7-13, 4-4 Big Sky) seeks its fourth straight win this Saturday, Jan. 30 when North Dakota (10-9, 5-3 Big Sky) pays a visit to Bank of Colorado Arena for a 7:00 p.m. showdown.

Scouting The Bears (Game Notes)
- UNC has now won three straight after back-to-back road wins over Southern Utah (90-80) and Northern Arizona (84-79). It's the first time since the 2012-13 season that the team picked up a Big Sky Road sweep.
- In those two games the Bears cleaned up the glass, outrebounding their opponents 92-52. Against NAU, junior forward, Tanner Morgan set the UNC Division I single game record for rebounds with 18.
- The Bears swept the Fighting Hawks last season, picking up an 88-78 win in Grand Forks, N.D. in overtime and a 72-71 win to end the regular season in Greeley.
- Junior guard, Jordan Wilson had two big games last weekend scoring 24 points against Southern Utah and 20 points against NAU. He has now produced double figures in 20 straight games.
- In 65 games of the all-time series, 40 of them have been within a 10 point margin, with 24 of those games decided by four points or less.
- The Bears are currently 4-2 against UND under Head Coach B.J. Hill.
Scouting The Fighting Hawks
- UND has won four out of its last five games heading into Saturday's contest, with its only loss coming against Montana (65-61) in those five games.
- The Fighting Hawks also swept Southern Utah and Northern Arizona on the road and are vying for their third consecutive win away from Grand Forks against the Bears.
- North Dakota's offense is led by Quinton Hooker. Hooker is currently averaging 19.3 points per game and 21.5 points in league play. He currently ranks second in the Big Sky in scoring only behind EWU's Austin McBroom who averages 19.5 ppg.
- The only other UND player in double figures on the season is Geno Crandall averaging 10.2 ppg.
- The Fighting Hawks also have the third best rebounder in the league in Drick Bernstine who averages 8.7 rebounds per game and has eight games this season with 10 rebounds or more.
How About Them Bears
- For the first time in four seasons UNC picked up a Big Sky road sweep downing Southern Utah (90-80) and Northern Arizona (84-79) to improve to .500 in Big Sky play. The Bears are currently tied for fifth overall and a win over UND would possibly move them into the Top 4 in the standings.
- UNC's three-game win streak is the longest of the season thus far and only the second time they've strung together two or more wins throughout the year.
- Northern Colorado hasn't lost at home to North Dakota since the 2012-13 season and have picked up wins over the Fighting Hawks in the last two meetings in Greeley.
- The Bears closed out the regular season with a 72-71 win over North Dakota in 2014-15. UND's Quinton Hooker scored a game-high 28 points against UNC. Cameron Michael and Tim Huskisson led UNC with 18 points and 14 points, respectively.

- Junior guard, Jordan Wilson just pushed over 800 points for his career with his 44-point performance over the weekend. For Wilson to reach 1,000 career points this season, he would need to finish out the season averaging 20.0 ppg, five points up from his 15.0 ppg that he is currently averaging.
- Wilson has continued his double figures streak to 20 straight games adding on to the Division I record that he holds.
- Wilson isn't the only player to break D1 records this season, fellow junior, Tanner Morgan just set the program's Division I single game record for most rebounds in a game with 18, breaking the previous record of 17, held by former forwards, Derrick Barden and Dominique Lee.
- Northern Colorado also moved back into the top slot in free throw percentage in the Big Sky, shooting 72.4% on the season. That percentage also ranks them 69th in the nation.

- New this year the Big Sky Conference will be headed to Reno, Nevada for both the men's and women's tournament. The #RoadToReno will begin on New Year's Eve and take place over March 7-13 for the women's tournament.
