Streaks Collide as @unco_mbb Hosts Montana on Thursday

UNC is looking to break it's three-game losing skid, while Montana is coming into Greeley with five straight wins.
GREELEY, Colo. – It's a game pitting streaks against streaks as Northern Colorado (4-12, 1-3 Big Sky) is looking to shake off its three-game losing skid against Montana (9-6, 4-0) who's won the last five and has yet to be beaten in league play. Tip against the Griz is set for Thursday, Jan. 14 at 7:00 p.m.

Scouting The Bears (Game Notes) (Big Sky Notes)
- UNC heads into Thursday's contest with a three-game losing skid after falling to Idaho State (83-78) and Weber State (85-68) on the road.
- Northern Colorado is currently 4-5 in games played at Bank of Colorado Arena with its last win coming over Eastern Washington (96-90) on Dec. 31.
- Junior guard, Dallas Anglin leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game and is coming off a career-high performance against Idaho State, where he scored 31 points. The first Bear to drop 30 in a game since the 2011-12 season when former guard, Tevin Svihovec reached 34 points at Cal Poly.
- Junior guard, Jordan Wilson has now dished out 25 assists over the last three games (6.3 apg) and boosts his season average to 3.9.
- Wilson is also just one game away from tying the Division I record of 17 games with 10 points or more, set by former guard, Will Figures in the 2009-10 season after his 10 point performance against Weber State.
- Last season the Bears and the Griz went into triple overtime in Greeley with UM coming out on top 83-81.
Scouting The Griz (Game Notes)
- Montana heads into Thursday's matchup with a perfect 4-0 record in Big Sky play after beating Sacramento State at home, 77-58. Overall, the Griz are riding a five-game win streak.
- UM also swept through its first Big Sky road test to begin the year, defeating Northern Arizona in double overtime 90-84 and handing Southern Utah a 83-66 loss.
- Senior forward, Martin Breunig is the team's leading scorer, averaging 17.3 ppg and 9.2 rebounds. Breunig ranks 6th in the league in scoring and 2nd in rebounding.
- The Griz currently hold a two-game win streak over UNC, winning the last two matchups in the 2014-15 season.
- In games played in Greeley, Montana holds a 7-5 record.
Triple Overtime
- The last time Montana paid a visit to Bank of Colorado Arena on Feb. 14, 2015 the game was a triple overtime thriller with the Griz edging out UNC, 83-81. It was the first time since Jan. 15, 1985 against UNO that a game had gone into three overtime periods in Greeley.
- Former guard, Tevin Svihovec led Northern Colorado with 23 points with guard, Cameron Michael chipping in 17. UM's Brandon Gfeller was the top scorer for the Griz with 21 points.
- Montana currently holds a two-game win streak over UNC, beating them both at home and on the road in the 2014-15 season. In the 2013-14 season the Bears held the upper hand winning in Missoula and at Bank of Colorado Arena
.- The Griz currently hold an 18-8 advantage over the Bears in the all-time series. Northern Colorado is 4-8 all-time against UM under head coach B.J. Hill.
One More Game
- Junior guard, Jordan Wilson is just one game away from tying the D1 program record for consecutive games in double figures. Wilson sits at 16 games straight with at least 10 points or more. The current record is held by former guard, Will Figures who notched 17 straight games in the 2009-10 season.
- Wilson is coming off back-to-back 10-point performances in the last two games, but also has three 20-point games this season, including a career-high 26 points in the win over Eastern Washington on Dec. 31.
- Fellow junior guard, Dallas Anglin has also scored no less than 11 points in all eight games he's played in since becoming eligible, scoring 31 points, a career-high, against Idaho State and 11 points against Weber State in his last two outings.
- Should both streaks continue for the rest of the season, Anglin would finish with 22 games in double figures and Wilson with 30.
Single Season Predictions
- The trio of junior guards, Dallas Anglin, Anthony Johnson and Jordan Wilson all have the chance to crack the Division I single season scoring list.
- Anglin currently sits with 147 points, while Johnson leads the pack with 230 and Wilson with 226 with a little over half of the season remaining.
- Should their scoring averages continue, Anglin would finish with 404, Johnson with 431 and Wilson with 423, ranking them 8th, 4th and 5th, respectively. It would also be the first time since moving to D1 that the team had three players score 400 points in the same season.

- The television agreement between the University of Northern Colorado and Comcast continues this winter with the broadcast of a combined 10 men's and women's games and began on December 8 with the women's team taking on Colorado State. The men's New Year's Eve (Dec. 31) game against Eastern Washington can be found Comcast (CET) channel 900.
