LAST GAME:
Northern Colorado men's basketball (4-5) cut a 21 point second half deficit down to six in the final seven minutes of the game, but couldn't complete the come from behind victory, falling to Nebraska-Omaha (5-5), 92-82 on Wednesday night.
Senior Forward, Dominique Lee was once again just shy of a double-double, dropping a career-high 19 points and hauling in nine rebounds in the loss.Senior forward, Tim Huskisson also added 19 points of his own, 13 of those coming in the first half. Sophomore guard, Jordan Wilson scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half, shooting 5-7 from the floor. Senior guard, Tevin Svihovec rounded out the scoring with 14 points.
Northern Colorado ended the night 46.8% (29-62) from the field, but shot just 35.0% (7-20) from beyond the arc.
UNC is now 0-5 in road games on the year.
JACKSONVILLE STATE'S LAST GAME:
The Jacksonville State men's basketball team shut down the nation's leading scorer on Tuesday night and handed UNC Asheville a 64-55 defeat in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
The Gamecocks (7-4) used a stingy defensive effort in winning their seventh in the last eight games.
It was JSU's 10th straight win over non-conference foes at home. It also swept the two-game series with the Bulldogs (4-6), who returned a 2013 game in Asheville that JSU won 71-69 on a tip in at the buzzer.
The Bulldogs leading scorer and the co-leading scorer in Division I entering the day, Andrew Rowsey, scored just six points on 1-for-7 shooting. The output was 18 points below his 24.4 points per game average and snapped a streak of 37 consecutive double-digit games for the sophomore. It was just the second time in his career Rowsey has been held in single digits, with the other coming at Duke early in his freshman season.
The Gamecocks got 16 points and a career-high eight rebounds from Darion Rackley, the leading scorer in a group of four JSU players in double figures.
UC DAVIS' LAST GAME:
Corey Hawkins scored a game-high 19 points while J.T. Adenrele had a season-high 17 as the UC Davis men's basketball team beat visiting Eastern Illinois, 80-70 on Dec. 9, for the second time this season. With the win the Aggies improve to 7-1 overall.
Josh Ritchart hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with 11 points for UC Davis which rebounded from its first loss of the season at Idaho on Saturday. Chris Olivier had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out. The Panthers fell to 3-6.
UC Davis edged Eastern Illinois 63-61 in Charleston, Illinois, on Nov. 20 in the previous matchup between the programs.
The Aggies shot a season-best 58 pct. from the field on Tuesday, canning 25 of 43 shots including 7 of 14 from three-point land. Hawkins, UC Davis' leading free throw shooter at nearly 80 pct., made 8 of 9 for the Aggies who were 23 for 28 from the line overall.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Senior guard Corey Spence missed his first three throw of the season (18-19) in the loss at UNO on Dec. 17. Spence now ranks 7th in the NCAA.
- Northern Colorado jumped from 45th to 31st in scoring offense in the rankings, averaging 77.3 points per game.
- The Bears have the 26nd best FG Percentage in the NCAA, shooting 49.1% as a team.
- UNC ranks 6th in the country in the fewest turnovers per game, averaging 9.44 on the season.
- Coming off a career-high in rebounds (17) against Colorado on Dec. 13, senior forward Dominique Lee scored a career-high 19 points against Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 17. Lee was one point shy of a double-double against CU and one rebound short of a double-double against UNO.
- After the 92-82 loss against Nebraska-Omaha, the Bears are now 0-5 on the road.
- Much like the CU game, UNC never led during the entire game, but tied the score twice.
