2007-08: Sat out the entire season, trainingfor the Olympics in Judo.
2006-07: Was ranked as high as ninth nationallyduring the season, and finished with a 23-4 record... Won theschool's own Old Chicago/Northern Colorado open, as well as theNCAA West Regional... Finished 0-2 at the NCAA Championship,falling to North Carolina State's Darrion Caldwell and DavidRoberts of Cal Poly... Was named to the Western WrestlingAll-Conference First Team.
2005-06: Redshirted... Finished the season withan overall record of 17-2 in open tournaments as an unattachedwrestler... Took first at the Old Chicago/Northern Colorado Open(11/19/05) and claimed first at the UNK Loper Open (12/10/05)...Fastest pin was 3:03.
2004-05: Named Northern Colorado Male FreshmanAthlete of the Year... His 19 victories ranked second on theteam... Led the squad in dual victories and lost only one dualmatch, posting an 11-1 mark... Captured first-place honors at boththe Wyoming Cowboy Open (Nov. 14) and the Old Chicago NorthernColorado Open (Nov. 21) at the 141-pound weight class... EarnedNorthern Colorado Student-Athlete of the Month honors for Januaryafter putting together a perfect month of competition at 5-0...Ended the season on a nine-match winning streak.
High School: A two-time Colorado state championand a two-time state runner-up in Class 5A... Over his final twoseasons as a prep, he compiled a record of 82-0 in winning the130-pound championship in 2003 and the 135-pound title in 2004...Also an elite Judo competitor.
