Also played basketball at Mount Vernon, and she was a second-team all-conference pick as a junior ... Also competed in track & field ... At time of signing with Bears was hitting .423 in her senior campaign with 1.85 kills per game ... Helped lead Mount Vernon to back-to-back conference championships as well as state runner-up titles in 2008 and 2009 ... Played club volleyball for the Iowa Rockets.
