Prior to UNC
Brooklyn began her collegiate career at Abilene Christian University.
2024: Did not see action.
2023 (Freshman year): Appeared in 10 games, averaging 243 minutes on the field.
High School/Club: A versatile and composed defender from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona, Brooklyn Hurt brings strong leadership and defensive prowess to the UNC backline. She captained her varsity team as a senior and competed at a high level with the Utah Royals ECNL team, finishing 5th nationally at ECNL Nationals in 2023 and winning the DPL Playoffs in 2021 when her team was ranked #1 in the country. Hurt earned numerous regional and state honors throughout her prep career and was recognized for her fitness and athleticism with a Nike Sparq fitness test score of 45 and a personal record mile time of 5:48.
Personal: Daughter of Stacy and William Hurt; her father attended Hampton Sydney. Brooklyn has three siblings: Savannah, Jordan, and Joshua. She chose UNC because it felt like a welcoming home away from home with inviting people and a great environment. A Biology major focused on Prehealth Professions, Brooklyn plans to pursue a career as a psychiatrist. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, surfing, cooking, and hiking.
