Season stats
Martinez started in all but one of the Bears' 20 games ... As ajunior, she cemented herself as one of the best defenders in theBig Sky -- winning the Big Sky Defensive MVP and earning a spot onthe Big Sky All-Conference First Team ... She wrapped up her yearwith 10 total shots and was tremendously accurate with those shots-- getting eight of them on target ... Also helped the Bears byregularly booming free-kicks from her own defensive end all the wayto the other box.
2010:
Season stats
As a sophomore, Martinez saw action in all 19 games and startedin all but one match ... A key cog in the Bears' defense, Martineztook six total shots with four of those being on target ... Namedto the Big Sky All-Conference Second Team ... Had two shots ongoal in a 1-0 win over New Mexico State on Sept. 24.
2009:
Martinez did not get into game competition during her sophomoreseason, but does look to have a strong junior campaign.
2008:
Season stats
Saw playing time in all 17 games during her first year for theBears ... Scored her first collegiate goal in a 4-0 home winagainst Rider (Sept. 12).
HIGH SCHOOL:
Four time letter winner for the Thinderbirds... Voted 2A first-teamall-state in 2006 and 2007... team captain in 2006 and 2007...second team all-state in 2005.
PERSONAL:
Born on August 25, 1990... daughter of Laura Martinez... has twosiblings...majoring in business.
