2020-21: Cruz competed in four tournaments playing 11 rounds for a stroke average of 80.64. Her best round came at the season opening Gunrock Invitational where she shot a 1-over 73 in the second round. The Grunrock Invitational was also her best finish by tying for 49th.Â
2019-20: Cruz broke the program record for lowest round shooting a 66 during the second round of the Rose City Intercollegiate. She played in five tournaments with a stroke average of 77.07. Beah earned one top 10 finish and two top 25. Her top 10 came at the Rose City Intercollegiate where she ended up tied for sixth with a total of 222 (76, 66, 80). Cruz's other top 25 finish was at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational where she ended up tied for 23rd.Â
2018-19: Cruz broke the program record for season stroke average by posting a 74.78 over the 27 rounds she played. Along with breaking the record, she also became the third player in program history to win the Big Sky Individual Championship. Cruz shot a 215 at the Championship before needing a one hole playoff to secure the win. The stroke average record was not the only record she broke, but also set the program's 18 hole record with a 68 at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. Cruz ended up with four top 10 finishes and six top 25. Her strong sophomore campaign earned her third team All-Big Sky honors.
2017-18: Cruz competed in all 8 tournaments this season as a freshman. She placed in the top 25 players at three competitions overall, and had a season-low shot of 69 in round one at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate competition along side a 74 nd 75 shot resulting in a total score of 218. In the Big Sky Conference Championship Cruz finished in 31st place with an overall total score of 231.Â
High School: Cruz has had a prestigious preps career at Christian Brothers High School. Cruz has been an All-League and First Team All-Sacramento golfer every season since she has been a freshman... She's led the Falcons to two League Championships and two Sectional titles... Along with the All-Conference honors, she's been a medalist at the Sectional Tournament three consecutive years, and finished as the Runner-Up in the 2015-16... Cruz also brought home the hardware for her team, medeling at the CIF Norcals her senior season... Cruz qualified as an individual in the 2016-17 CIF State Championships, finishing in the Top 40... Outside of the preps season, Cruz has seen success at the junior level, winning the FCWT Tournament in Kansas in 2016, along with a Top 15 finish at the AJGA Centennial Tournament in Oregon... Cruz has also qualified for the BIG I Championship, one of the most premier tournaments on the junior tour, twice, making the cut both times... Off the course, Cruz has just as many accolades... She has been a three-time CAL and Christian Brothers High School Scholar Athlete, was named the 2017 Wendy's High Scholl Heisman School award winner, a First Tee Scholar Athlete, and has been on the CBHS Honor Roll all four years of high school.
Cruz chose UNC over San Jose State, Fresno State, Sacramento State, Ohio State, Denver and Oral Roberts.
