2010-11: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team... Played in 16 games as a true freshman, scoring 17 points and grabbing 19 rebounds... Had one or more rebounds in 12 of the 16 games she played... Notched double figure minutes three times during the season... Scored four points in the team's wins over both Sacramento State and Weber State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-time letterwinner at Mullen High School in basketball, and also earned three in track & field and one in volleyball for the Mustangs... Was an all-state honorable mention selection as a junior, as well as an all-state academic team selection... Was a four-year member of the honor roll... Played for the state title in 4A as a junior.
PERSONAL: Born in Denver, Colo., Kirsten Joy Kealoha Hess is the youngest of two children of Karen and Marty Hess with an older brother, Ryan... Has not yet decided on a major at Northern Colorado.
