PREVIEW: Bears Head to Fort Collins For Ben Connell Ram Classic

GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado women's golf returns to the course Monday, Sept. 21, traveling to Fort Collins to compete in the 2026 Connell Resources Ram Classic hosted by Colorado State at Ptarmigan Golf Club. The two-day tournament will conclude Tuesday, Sept. 22.
LAST TIME OUT: The Bears opened the 2026-27 season at home, hosting the UNC Bear Brawl at Greeley Country Club on Sept. 7-8. Northern Colorado finished tied for second overall at 32-over 884, matching UTRGV and finishing behind tournament champion St. Thomas.
Olivia Salonek led the way for the Bears, earning runner-up honors individually after finishing three rounds at 1-over 214. Salonek saved her best round for last, carding a 1-under 70 in the final round to climb into second place. Her performance earned her Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Week honors, marking her first conference weekly award of the 2026-27 season.
Jaci Hartman also posted a top five finish for the Bears, tying for fourth at 4-over 217. Samantha Colombine and Brooklynn Maes also finished inside the top 15, giving UNC four golfers among the tournament's top 14 individual finishers.
ON THE TEE: Northern Colorado will make the short trip to Fort Collins for the Connell Resources Ram Classic, hosted by Colorado State at Ptarmigan Golf Club. The Bears will look to carry the momentum from their runner-up finish at the Bear Brawl into their second tournament of the fall season and compete against a strong field.Â
