Bears Set for Big Sky Starch Madness, Watch Party Planned for Monday

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's and women's basketball are set for Starch Madness next week in Boise, Idaho, with both teams earning spots in the third round of the tournament. The Bears will open postseason play Monday, March 9, with the women's team tipping off in the afternoon followed by the men's team in the evening.
Northern Colorado women's basketball enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Eastern Washington at 2:30 p.m. MT in Game 6 of the third round.
The Bears' men's team secured the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 Montana at 5:30 p.m. MT in Game 5 of the third round.
Northern Colorado Athletics will host a watch party for both games on Monday at Big City Roadhouse in Greeley. Fans are encouraged to gather and cheer on the Bears as they begin their postseason run in Boise.

Both teams will compete at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, with the opportunity to advance to the semifinal round on Tuesday, March 10. The women's semifinals are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. MT, while the men's semifinals will take place at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. MT.
Championship games are set for Wednesday, March 11, with the women's title game tipping at 3:00 p.m. MT and the men's championship scheduled for 9:30 p.m. MT.
