PREVIEW: Bears Set to Host No.22 Penn on Sunday

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado wrestling will welcome No. 22 Penn to Bank of Colorado Arena on Sunday, January 11, for a highly anticipated dual beginning at 2 p.m. MT. The Bears enter the match up with momentum, riding a two-dual winning streak and aiming to make it three straight dual victories on Sunday afternoon.
LAST TIME OUT AT SOUTHERN SCUFFLE
Leading the charge was Dominick Serrano, who delivered a flawless tournament at 133 pounds, going a perfect 5–0 and finishing atop the podium. His dominant performance earned him Most Outstanding Wrestler honors for the tournament.
Serrano's run was highlighted by a thrilling semifinal victory over Max Leete of American, where he earned an 8–5 decision in sudden-victory overtime to punch his ticket to the finals.
That momentum carried into the championship bout, where Serrano defeated Braxton Brown of Maryland to claim the title, capping off an impressive tournament run and underscoring his ability to win close, high-pressure matches.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Penn competed in the Southern Scuffle and had eight podium finishers
Penn holds a 3-0 dual record, defeating Campbell 35-6, Hofstra 35-8, and Virginia 24-16.
The Quakers currently have four ranked wrestlers in their probable lineup.
