PREVIEW: Swim & Dive Set for Back-to-Back Duals, Host Washington State Before Road Test at CSU

GREELEY, Colo. – The Bears swimming & diving team will host Washington State at Butler-Hancock Pool on Friday at 4 p.m., and then travel to Fort Collins on Saturday for an 11 a.m. meet at Colorado State.
ABOUT THE DUALS: Friday's home dual is free for fans. For fans unable to attend, the dual will be livestreamed on the Northern Colorado YouTube Channel.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS: Washington State is currently ranked first in the Mountain West and 31st in NCAA Division I. They are undefeated in dual meets this season and competed against CSU in November, winning 195-66. The Cougars haven't allowed more than 72 points to an opponent this season.
SCOUTING THE RAMS: Colorado State is ranked eighth in the Mountain West and 34th in Division I Mid-Major. They are 3-3 in duals this season, and recently lost 179-121 to Air Force earlier this month.
LAST TIME OUT: The University of Northern Colorado women's swimming & diving team opened the 2026 calendar with a strong showing in a dual meet at Air Force, finishing with 121 points in a 175-121 decision.
UNC was paced by Kyra Rabess, who won both the 1000 freestyle and 500 freestyle and helped anchor a runner-up finish in the 200 free relay to close the meet. Additional event wins came from Maria Erokhina in both breaststroke races and Hlaa Diab in the 400 IM, while the Bears added multiple podium finishes across sprints, backstroke, butterfly, and IM events.
Northern Colorado showed depth throughout the lineup, highlighted by strong relay performances and consistent top-three finishes, capping a competitive and encouraging first dual meet of the new year.
UP NEXT: The Bears will return home on February 7 for a 10 a.m. dual against Utah Tech at Butler-Hancock Pool.
