Bears post a 3.68 team GPA, earning national recognition for classroom achievement
GREELEY, Colo. – Demonstrating its strong commitment to academic excellence, the University of Northern Colorado women's soccer team has earned the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year after posting an impressive team GPA of 3.68.
United Soccer Coaches announced the award winners on Thursday, recognizing collegiate programs that maintained a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. This year, 697 teams across the country—283 men's and 414 women's—received the honor, with 151 institutions earning recognition for both their men's and women's programs.
"We're always proud of the job that our student-athletes do in the classroom which leads to the great careers and post-graduate work that they do. We have at least seven recent graduates who are now in graduate school to go with the others who have moved on to great jobs." said Head Coach, Tim Barrera.
This achievement reflects the program's continued focus on academic achievement as a foundational pillar of student-athlete success, complementing its efforts and accomplishments on the field.
