UNC Volleyball Earns National Academic Honors from AVCA

Bears Ranked in Top 20% for Team GPA Nationwide
GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado women's volleyball team has been recognized with the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT, for its outstanding academic performance during the 2024–25 academic year.
The AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.30 or higher. The additional Honor Roll distinction highlights UNC among the top academic volleyball programs in the nation.
In addition to receiving the national award, the Bears earned a place on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll — an elite distinction reserved for programs that rank in the top 20% of team GPAs across their respective divisions.
This achievement continues a tradition of academic excellence for UNC Athletics, showcasing the commitment of student-athletes, coaches, and academic support staff to success beyond competition.
