Dylan Gornto Joins UNC Athletics as Assistant Equipment Manager

Gornto Returns To UNC Roots
GREELEY, Colo. -Â The University of Northern Colorado Department of Athletics welcomes Dylan Gornto as its new Assistant Equipment Manager beginning July 1.
Gornto returns to UNC after previously serving as a Graduate Assistant in Equipment Operations during the 2023–2024 academic year. While in that role, he managed the issuance and inventory of athletic gear across multiple sports using Helmet Tracker, coordinated equipment purchases, and played a role in football game preparations and helmet inventory upgrades. His contributions also included developing a jersey inventory system and enhancing operational procedures for equipment maintenance and distribution.
Most recently, Gornto was the Director of Equipment Operations at Northwestern State University, where he oversaw equipment logistics for all sports, led a team of student managers, and managed major apparel orders. He also implemented organizational improvements within the equipment room and was instrumental in introducing new helmet technologies and custom apparel designs.
A native of Florida, Gornto earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University, where he also served as a Senior Student Equipment Manager for the football program. He completed his Master's in Sport and Exercise Science with a specialization in Sports Administration at UNC.
Gornto is an AEMA member and brings a wide range of skills to the role.
