Bears Storm Back to Top Air Force in Wild 9-7 Comeback Win

UNC Scores Seven Unanswered Runs To Cap Comeback
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado erased an early five-run deficit to earn a thrilling 9-7 comeback win over Air Force on Tuesday afternoon at Jackson Field.
Trailing 5-0 after the top of the first, the Bears battled back with a relentless effort, capped by a three-run seventh inning and a wild, three-run eighth. UNC took full advantage of six Air Force defensive errors to complete the rally.
Brett Barber led the offensive charge, reaching base three times, scoring three runs, and adding a double. Kai Wagner was perfect at the plate, including a first-inning double that put the Bears on the board and an RBI hit-by-pitch in the eighth to tie the game.
UNC's bullpen played a key role in the comeback. Lucas Stone and Logan Moser combined for five steady innings, keeping the Bears within striking distance. Jack Tuttle (3-3) shut down the Falcons over the final two frames, striking out four to secure the win.
Northern Colorado improves to 16-26 and looks to carry the momentum into a three-game series at South Dakota State, beginning Friday in Brookings. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. CDT/2 p.m. MDT.
