Fallotico, Shehee Lead Bears With Top-20 Finishes After Opening Round

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Northern Colorado women's golf team opened play at the Big Sky Championship on Monday, finishing the first round in eighth place at the Wigwam Golf Course.

The Bears posted a team score of 302 (+18) on the par-71 course and sit 20 strokes back of first-place Sacramento State heading into round two.

Carolina Fallotico led the way for UNC with a 3-over 74, placing her in a tie for 16th. Timbre Shehee followed with a 4-over 75 and is tied for 20th after 18 holes.

Samantha Colombine contributed a 5-over 76 and sits tied for 29th, while Olivia Salonek posted a 6-over 77, good for a share of 34th.

Northern Colorado's final counting score came from Jaci Hartman.
