Bears Ready to Sprint Into 2025 Outdoor Season

Northern Colorado Set for High-Caliber Matchups on Road to Championship Season
GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado track and field team is set to open its 2025 outdoor season with a competitive lineup, highlighted by meets against three Power 4 schools.
The Bears will begin their season at the Jack Christiansen Invite in Fort Collins, Colorado, on March 28-29. From there, they will face top-tier competition, including Power 5 opponents Arizona and Oregon, with a one-day meet at the Kit Mayer Classic in Golden, Colorado, in between.
Northern Colorado will conclude the regular season with two key meets in May: the Doug Max Invitational in Fort Collins on May 3 and the Arkansas Twilight at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on May 9.
The postseason kicks off with the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 14-17 in Sacramento, California. Qualifying Bears will then advance to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Regional Championships in College Station, Texas, as they look to earn a spot at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, in June.
