NABC Release
Â
GREELEY, Colo. – Isaiah Hawthorne and Langston Reynolds garnered National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-Mountain District Honors, as voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.
Â
"We're really excited that Isaiah and Langston were selected for the NABC All-District Team," head coach Steve Smiley said. "This is one of the highest individual honors a player can receive, and it is extremely difficult to be selected with so many great players and teams in our region. This is truly special!"
Â
Hawthorne and Reynolds added hardware to their collections this season, with both selected to the All-Big Sky Conference First Team. Hawthorne also earned a spot on the All-Big Sky Tournament Team.
Â
The Big Sky Conference placed four on the NABC All-District Teams, with Dylan Darling (Idaho State) and Trent McLaughlin (NAU) joining Hawthorne and Reynolds on the Mountain District Second Team.
Â
Hawthorne netted 17.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.4 blocks per contest. He sank 49.6% (190-383) from the floor, including 39.6% (65-164) and 82.3% (130-158) at the charity stripe.
Â
He ranked third in the conference in field-goal attempts, free-throw percentage and points, fourth in points per game, fifth in free-throw attempts, 3-point field goals and 3-point field goals and 3-point field-goal attempts, seventh in field-goal percentage, eighth in double-doubles and ninth in defensive rebounds.
Â
Reynolds earned a selection after averaging 16.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. He hit 60.3% of his shot attempts (205-340), including 38.1% (16-42) from 3-point range and 67.5% (102-151) at the free-throw line.
Â
He led the conference in field-goal percentage, while ranking third in field goals, fifth in points, sixth in points per game, seventh in free throw attempts, defensive rebounds and minutes played, eighth in free throws, assists and total rebounds, 10th in assists per game and assists-to-turnover ratio.
Â
The NABC introduced a new model for its Division I district alignment this season, with schools arranged by state rather than by conference. The modernized NABC Division I district alignment features 10 geographic regions, each encompassing multiple states. Every Division I school in each given state belongs to that state's corresponding district.
