PREVIEW: Bears Prepare for Final Conference Road Trip of The Regular Season

GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado volleyball team (11-13, 8-3 Big Sky) is preparing for its final conference road trip of the regular season, facing Portland State (10-12, 6-5 Big Sky) and Sacramento State (15-8, 8-3 Big Sky) in a crucial pair of Big Sky match ups.
The Bears are riding a wave of momentum after a dominant weekend at home, going 2-0 with strong wins over Montana State (11-11, 6-5 Big Sky) and Montana (14-8, 6-5 Big Sky). Those victories moved Northern Colorado into a tie for second place in the conference standings, bolstering their postseason aspirations.
Setter Nerea Alvarez Jorge continues to shine, recording 122 assists over her last three matches. She tallied 46 assists against No. 23 Colorado, followed by 31 against Montana State, and capped the week with a match-high 45 assists in the Bears' 22nd consecutive win over Montana.
First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. MT on Thursday.
