11/1/2025 9:34:00 AM | Women's Basketball
GREELEY, Colo. – Excitement is building as the 2025-26 Northern Colorado women's basketball season quickly approaches. The Bears are set to tip off their campaign on Tuesday, November 4, when they host Northern New Mexico in what marks as the programs home opener at Bank of Colorado Arena.
Coming off a solid 2024-25 season, Northern Colorado finished with a 14-17 overall record and went 6-12 in conference play. While the team faced its share of challenges on the road, the Bears protected their home court, securing an impressive 10-5 record at Bank of Colorado Arena. That home success became a cornerstone for the program's momentum heading into the new year.
As the Bears prepare for the upcoming season, they'll look to build upon last year's foundation—refining their offensive rhythm, strengthening their defensive identity, and continue to develop. With key returning veterans and promising newcomers, Northern Colorado aims to climb the conference standings and make a strong push for postseason play.
The season opener against Northern New Mexico will be the first chance for fans to see the team's hard work and offseason progress in action.
With renewed energy, depth, and determination, the Bears are eager to make their mark in 2025-26 and continue the program's upward trajectory.
Tip off against Northern New Mexico is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT. Fans can watch live on ESPN+, follow live stats, and stay connected through the team's official social media channels.
