WOODLAND, Calif. – Northern Colorado's Kyra Rabess has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimmer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Rabess led the Bears with a standout performance at the MPSF Open Water Swimming Championship, placing third overall in the women's 5K with a time of 1:03:13. Her finish marked the top performance among all MPSF competitors and earned her an automatic qualification for the USA Swimming Open Water National Championship later this year.

The podium finish highlighted Northern Colorado's strong debut at the MPSF Open Water Championship, as the program made an immediate impact in its first competition as a member of the conference.

Rabess and the Bears will return to the pool for the upcoming dual at New Mexico State on Saturday, October 25 at 10 a.m. MDT.
