Bears Tied for Sixth at Golf Iconic Classic After Day One

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Northern Colorado women's golf turned in a solid performance on day one of the Golf Iconic Classic in Las Cruces, N.M., ending the opening round tied for sixth on the team leader board. With 36 holes still to play, the Bears are in a strong position to make a move over the next two rounds.
Leading the way for the Bears was Timbre Shehee, who continued her excellent fall season with another impressive round. Shehee carded a three-under-par 69, placing her in a tie for sixth on the individual leader board and well within striking distance of the top spot.
Behind her was Samantha Colombine, who delivered a steady and composed round of one-under 71. Her efforts have her tied for 24th individually and poised to climb higher with continued consistency.
Olivia Salonek contributed an even-par 72, showing consistent form to finish the day tied for 32nd.
Jaci Hartman posted a three-over 75, while Carolina Fallotico rounded out the team's scoring with a four-over 76.
After a solid start, the Bears aim to maintain their momentum and continue pushing up both the team and individual leader boards during day two of competition.
